Common questions

How do I record, pause, and save?

Tap the coral microphone button on the main screen to start. Tap it again to pause or resume. Tap the checkmark to finish and save, then use the waveform icon at the top right to open the recording list. Tap a file to listen.

What if there is no sound or microphone access was denied?

Open iOS Settings, find VoiceEver, and allow microphone access. Check that the microphone is not covered and which audio device is connected. Make a short test recording and listen back before starting your main recording.

How do I add backing music and hear my voice?

Choose your own audio from Files in the Music tab. It is mixed with microphone input while recording. Monitoring requires headphones and must be enabled manually; it is off by default. Use music you own or have permission to use.

Why did recording stop after a call or a headphone change?

A system audio interruption pauses recording; resume it manually. Changing the audio route ends the current recording and preserves the audio already written. Connect wired or Bluetooth headphones before you start.

Which files can I use as scripts?

Import plain-text TXT, TEXT, MD, LOG, CSV, JSON, or XML files. You can also type text, choose photos, or take script pictures. Convert Word, PDF, RTF, and HTML documents to plain text before importing.

Why did a script import fail?

Choose a plain-text file under 2 MB. Split very long scripts into shorter sections before importing. For cloud files, finish downloading in Files first, then try again. An import failure leaves your current script unchanged.

Why is my previous script no longer there?

Scripts and selected images are kept for the current session, not as saved documents. Keep a separate copy of important scripts before closing the app or clearing the content. Completed, saved audio recordings remain on your device.

How do I export, back up, or delete a recording?

Open a recording’s action menu in the list and choose Share or Export. Use the system share sheet to send it or save a copy to Files. Export important audio before deleting the app. Deleting a local recording does not delete exported copies. Offloading an app and deleting it also handle documents differently.
